Moran Arts Foundation
The Moran Arts Foundation is a philanthropic, not-for-profit organisation whose objective is to support the Arts in Australia through:
- The Doug Moran National Portrait Prize,
- The Moran Contemporary Photographic Prizes,
- The Free Moran School Photographic Workshops, and
- Juniper Hall exhibition space, Paddington
Established by Doug and Greta Moran and Family in 1988 in celebration of Australia’s bicentennial, the Moran Arts Foundation fosters portraiture skills, excellence in photography and enhancing arts in education.
Now the home of the Moran Arts Foundation collection, Juniper Hall is also the home of the annual Moran Prizes exhibition incorporating the Doug Moran National Portrait Prize and Moran Contemporary Photographic Prizes including photographs by students participating in the free Moran School Photographic Workshops. The hall has recently been opened up to past winners and finalists to hold survey exhibitions to display their body of work to the wider community. In 2015 we will have a rotating exhibition schedule with both artists and photographers exhibiting exciting works.
